Looking for some Boston entertainment but unsure of how to spend these chilly fall nights? You can never go wrong with some good live music. There is plenty of options almost every night varying from pop to rock to electronic dance music.
Boston has some of the best live music venues ranging from large to intimate, hosting only the best musicians or new bands on the rise. A concert guarantees a good time. Here are some noteworthy happenings that will help fill up the rest of your October calendar.
October 24th @ The Orpheum Theater
Jason has been conquering the R&B scene for awhile now with his catchy and infectious tunes. Not only is he a singer and songwriter he can seriously break out some moves. With his new album "Talk Dirty" he is ready to take on the world one city at a time, including Boston of course. Get ready for Jay-son De-rou-loooooooo.
2. Fleetwood Mac
October 25th @ The TD Garden
All the way from England, they have been rocking since the late sixties. Time to and go back in time and listen to one of the most iconic rock bands out there. I mean look at them, they couldn't be cooler. The Landslide won't bring you down.
3. Weezer
October 26th @ The Sinclair in Cambridge
These guys have been around since the 90s and they're still going strong with their new album "Everything Will be Alright in the End" which was released this year. Be ready to jam to hits such as "Island in the Sun" in this intimate venue located in one of the most historic neighborhoods in Boston. They are sure to put you in a great mood. Small venue means prime views.
4. Capital Cities
October 28th @ The House of Blues
One of the newer bands out there, Capital Cities began playing in tiny bars around LA and NYC, but this duo has quickly come on the scene with its upbeat indie pop tunes including "Safe and Sound". They just so happen to be playing at one of my favorite venues.
October 29th @ The TD Garden
Who doesnt want to attend concerts where two of the best Boston sports teams play and who doesnt want to see The Who live in concert? Also from England, also an iconic rock band and also coming to Boston! I mean CSI would be nothing without their theme song.
6. SBTRKT
6. SBTRKT
October 29 @ Royale Boston
SBTRKT is an up and coming self-taught producer. Aaron Jermone mixes dubstep with soul, house and techno to create a bass-heavy blend of melodies. It is more of a club scene, so definitely bring your dancing shoes. It's pronounced "subtract" just so you know.
October 31st @ The Paradise Rock Club
No halloween plans? Not feeling the costume thing? Go to a concert, and be amazed by the most talked about Irish singer over the last year named Hozier. He has been inspiring everyone with his big soulful voice and instrumentalist skills. Instantly impressed.
Quick preview for ya:
Don't miss out on these acts. Music is always better live!
