Entertainment: Sports & Active Life

If being active is enjoyable to you, Boston has a variety of activities to get involved in this week. Whether it is running, dancing, yoga or simply celebrating an active lifestyle, there is surely something for you to be a part of.  Here is what I found!

Monday

Monday Night Bar Run

SRR hosts a free 5k “Fun Run” every Monday night in at the Burren Pub and Restaurant in Somerville. This is a 21+ event and it is at Pub, so I assume the light at the end of the tunnel will be a refreshing adult beverage and some good grub.

Tuesday

Ballroom and Latin Basics: 6:45 pm & Cuban Fury Salsa Class: 7:30pm

Getting sick of the weekly repetitive Zumba class?   The Boston Ballroom Dance Center is hosting Ballroom and Latin Group classes for only $15 a person. No need to drag your significant other because there is no partner required.

Soon you'll be looking like this...

 Wednesday

Stair Workout at Harvard Stadium for the “November Project”

The perfect combination of sightseeing and exercising takes place at the Harvard Stadium this Wednesday as people who are a part of the November Project come together. The workouts include covering as many areas as possible in the shortest amount of time. The project starts at 6:30 AM and its FREE!

Thursday

Boston Ski and Snowboard Expo

Get ready for the upcoming Ski season, the reason most of us are able to get through the brutal winters. It will be the perfect time to pick out the best gear and you’ll be ready to hit the slopes in no time! Check it all out at the Seaport World Trade Center starting Thursday and ending Sunday.

 Saturday

Yoga Party

What’s better than distressing at a yoga class? Distressing at a yoga party, duh! This happens every Saturday at Karma Revolution. Not only does it include strength training and stretching, it is all done to fun music and upbeat themes. This is meant for yogis who love to move.

Have fun!
